Construction Intervention Calls On Industry Pro - Salon Interiors

South Hackensack, NJ -

March 2010

Salon Interiors donates furniture, equipment and design expertise to the Discovery Channel reality show "Construction Intervention". Charlie Frattini and the crew of "Construction Intervention" called upon Salon Designer Walter Siegordner, owner & Chief designer of Salon Interiors, to create a fresh new look for "Real Deal Barbershop" in Jersey City, NJ.

Real Deal, a traditional landmark barbershop, was in dire need of remodeling after years of botched-up attempts by unqualified contractors. Salon Interiors took the historical elements of a 1930's barber shop and blended them with 21st century twist. Siegordner took flat screen televisions and embedded them behind mirrors. When the TV was off you see nothing but clear mirror, when it was on the screen illuminated thru the mirror. Other design elements include custom wallpaper depicting staff, friends, family and the neighborhood of Real Deal. Tin Ceilings, Barber Pole, Track Lighting, Crown Molding, Granite Counters all add to the exciting look & feel of the traditional "Real Deal" Barber Shop.

The constant challenge in renovating this location was timing. This renovation & filming was completed in only 5 days. Salon Interiors supplied the equipment & manufactured much of the furniture in their state of the art manufacturing facility located in South Hackensack, NJ.

"Construction Intervention" premieres on The Discovery Channel, Tuesday April 13, 2010 at 10pm ET/PT.
